New York producer DJ Scratch has just dropped a gem on fans’ heads. The hip-hop hitmaker went to social media to share a throwback story about one of his records which ultimately helped spark 50 Cent‘s career.
Scratch jumped on Instagram to discuss the impact his “50 Shot Ya” banger had for Curtis Jackson.
This was a pivotal record for @50cent when labels were afraid to sign him. Chris Lighty believed in him & I believed in Chris Lighty. Plus 50 is a disciple of Jam Master Jay as I am, so it was automatic that I would work with this Young Man. I'm extremely proud of @50cent & unlike most rappers 50 is VERY generous with that bread & he's good people.
A few days ago, 50 credited himself as one of the greatest musicians to ever do it.
Recently, Curtis Jackson reflected on the impact his career has had on the entertainment industry.
In late May, 50 Cent linked up with A&E Network executives Elaine Frontain Bryant and Devon Hammonds.
