West Coast veteran DJ Quik is going to feel the wrath of Yeezy fans after taking a few shots at rap star Kanye West and his chart-topping The Life Of Pablo album.

Quik went at Yeezus’ neck in a new interview this week and downplayed T.L.O.P.‘s greatness.

“Who puts our records anymore? Kanye’s so scared he don’t know what to do with the f*cking Life Of Pablo. Let’s just keep this sh*t all the way f*cking 100 – is it better than 808s & Heartbreak? Is it better than the experimental – Yeezus? Well, do you think it deserves all the hype though? Is this the kind of album you would really want to go out to buy and listen and go home and just be bragging to everybody? So his celebrity supercedes his talent right now? Come on. he’s a Kardashian now. What the f*ck? It’s Kanye. This is a challenge. This ain’t a diss. It’s a challenge. Make your best music because fans aren’t stupid. Maybe his head’s all the way up in Kim Kardashian’s v*gina. What the f*ck? Vagey-Kardashian, the new p*ssy.” (NOAH TV)

Recent reports revealed Ye’s new album had reached nearly 100 million streams since its mass release in early April.

Although sales will likely account for a minuscule piece of his total (The Life of Pablo is for sale only on his website), Kanye West may be a contender for #1 on our next Sales + Plus Streaming (SPS) chart. Since going wide to Spotify, Apple Music and other services last week, preliminary data suggests Pablo (G.O.O.D./Def Jam) is on track for some 90m streams, which would put him at 60k+ SEA. A few days prior, Kanye boasted about his album’s wide release on Twitter.

Def Jam also recently weighed-in on the new album’s mass availability.

“In the months to come, Kanye will release new updates, new versions, and new iterations of the album,” the rapper’s label, Def Jam, said in a statement. “An innovative, continuous process, the album will be a living, evolving art project. The Life of Pablo has truly taken on a life of its own.” (MTV)
