[SOHH highlights a hot record every week and offers a behind-the-scenes look at the smash in Singled Out. After Capone broke down his “3 On 3” smash, Detroit’s Lil George breaks down his new “The Real George” music video.]
I had did two videos, I was going to do [“The Real George”] in California but they wanted to give a better feeling for the video to let them know what I had been through – so you could see the look.
SO I took them to my neighborhood. I had my mother and my sister and my cousin because those are the main people I was with during the time, [when] times was hard. I was actually into it with another side of my family while my mom was in jail.
I was just trying to balance things out and I still was taking myself to school at 15-years-old. I didn’t even have a license. I was struggling, like hard.
So I took them to my neighborhood, I gave them the exposure and everything that I did.
I also did a documentary. I’ve been through a lot and I just want everybody to notice.
I’m actually making it out now. It’s a blessing so I want everybody to see what I’ve been through.
