[With a long-awaited “Lead Poison” comeback album arriving next month, Detroit native Elzhi kicks back and talks Quentin Tarantino flicks like “The H8teful Eight” with SOHH.]
H*ll yeah I watched “H8teful Eight.” I watched it a couple of times. I thought it was dope. I thought I was watching a person in a masterful state of his craft.
I felt like the dialogue was on point, the storyline, the camera work was crazy, the textures in the actual film were warm. The ensemble characters that came together was wild.
I’m trying to say everything I liked about it without spoiling for anyone. It’s a strong movie in terms of dialogue.
I appreciate that. I get hyped off of that, when someone says something slick and even how something unfolds, it gets a vibe out of me.
Anytime I see something I feel is done well, it makes me want to write well. It doesn’t matter if it’s a movie, a video game, what I ate the night before, it’s going to make me want to put that pencil to the page and write something really quick.
I enjoyed it.
