Deadpool 2 star Zazie Beetz took away a lot from the must-see “This Is America” music video. The Hollywood actress has shared her thoughts on Childish Gambino‘s new visual.
In a new interview, Beetz saluted her “Atlanta” co-star Donald Glover‘s message-driven vid.
“I love the video! What I really appreciate about [Donald] is that he is really unafraid to be weird. I think it’s such a cool, multi-toned video, much in a way like ‘Atlanta’ where it’s like, almost disturbing…but you can’t keep your eyes off it in a way. It’s a weirdly riveting and wildly disturbing piece of work. It’s the nuance behind it and the subtext is what’s speaking. There’s so much complexity with it. I love the video.” (ABC News Radio Urban)

In a new interview, fellow Atlanta rapper Young Thug confirmed Gambino’s headed toward retirement and revealed he would land on his final LP.
“He got in touch with Reese LaFlare. I think they cool, friends or whatever. He told him to come to the [studio]. He said he has a song for me for his last album. I tweeted one time, I was like, ‘I bet I be on Gambino’s last album.’ I’m on his last album, it’s crazy. He’s really not making music after this. So in this picture I was like, trying to be, I was really frustrated that he wasn’t making music no more but I was trying to be cool.” (Spotify)
