New York rapper Dave East and Pete Rock are more than impressed by Nas’ good deeds. The hip-hop artists saluted Nasir Jones on feeding hundreds of government workers during last week’s shutdown.

Both Rock and East went to their Instagram pages Tuesday (January 29) with nods to God’s Son.

The government shutdown had sparked tons of hip-hop reactions from G-Unit’s Tony Yayo calling out the Trump administration to Nas providing free meals to federal workers at his Sweet Chick restaurant.

Last Friday, President Donald Trump signed a law to temporarily reopen the government.

President Donald Trump signed a short-term spending bill into law Friday night that does not include his requested $5.7 billion for a border wall. The White House announced late Friday that Trump had signed the measure, a three-week stopgap bill that will reopen shuttered parts of the government through February 15. The funding measure puts an end to the longest government shutdown in US history. (CNN)

Throughout the past few days, New York rapper Cardi B has shared her issues with the shutdown.
