Stoopidondabeat actually produced “Hermes.” I had already had the song recorded. I had already did my verse and I was just thinking about who would sound good on it and I was just thinking about a lot of different things.

I really wanted to keep it Harlem as far as this Black Rose mixtape was concerned. When I sent it over to Smoke DZA, he was like, ‘This is fire!’ He completed it in about two or three days.

That record really came together quick. Some records can really happen fast. DZA is just one of those people who can put records together really quickly. That didn’t take any time at all.
