Recently, rap veteran Talib Kweli talked to SOHH about hip-hop newcomers like Dave East and Young M.A.
“I travel and tour too much to really be up on the newest latest out of Brooklyn. Joey [Bada$$] is easing into a comfortable role as ambassador of hip-hop culture between generations, while not losing his edge. Young M.A has just one song, she has work to do. I’m excited about Dave East, just waiting on the defining project from him.” (SOHH)
Earlier this year, East linked up with hip-hop star Meek Mill.
