Meek Mill and Lil Boosie spoke out in support of DaBaby, saying the low sales for the Baby on Baby 2 album are because of him getting blackballed out of the industry.

According to Meek, Dababy is being blatantly blackballed.

He added that he refrained from stepping in and would rather observe how things play out.

Boosie pointed to Baby’s last album, Baby On Baby (2019), which sold over 150,000 units in the first week. He compared it to the 16,000 projections on his latest album, Baby On Baby 2, which received most of its buzz from his controversial line about Megan Thee Stallion

Many have highlighted how the support comes at an interesting time, as the “SUGE” rapper has had a long list of bad headlines and recent low ticket sales, which could be the main reason for the current fall.

Is DaBaby Blackballed? DJ Akademiks Blames Hot 97’s Ebro Darden

Meanwhile, DJ Akademiks took to Twitter to claim the Hot 97 and Apple host Ebro Darden are to blame.

According to him, Ebro Daren and Apple Music have blackballed the controversial rapper.

Darden responded to the claim by pointing out that Apple may not be the only platform that DaBaby is struggling with. He pointed to Spotify, who Akademiks has a deal for his podcast.

Many may argue that the “Suge” artist put himself in this position with bad decisions that have kept him in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

DaBaby’s downfall began when he made homophobic comments at Rolling Loud last year, which he later apologized for.

The rapper recently recorded low ticket sales, and his audience not being as excited to see him perform like before.

Knockin’ Messy Boots

Meanwhile, the North Carolina native got himself in more hot water with lyrics contained in his new album.

He sparked more controversy after claiming he slept with Megan Thee Stallion before the alleged shooting incident with Tory Lanez.
