Rap veteran Da Brat recently offered her thoughts on Hollywood actor Nick Cannon and close pal Mariah Carey calling it quits with a publicized divorce.
Despite the big breakup, Da Brat said she had the utmost confidence in the ex-couple getting through the divorce proceedings.
“She’s good on taking care of the babies and raising them she’s got a lot of help and she’s doing fine and yes we are still friends and everything and Nick is a great person too. I’m not going to take nothing away from him because she’s one of my best friends. You know what I mean? They you know had their issues just like every married couple do and they are moving forward. She is and so is he.” (DISH Nation)

Recently, Cannon said there were still plans to reunite with Carey for family time on the holidays.
Speaking to U.S. talk show host Meredith Viera on Friday (24Oct14), he explains, “(I’m) just staying focused on family and what’s right and getting through these times and just doing what’s right for the kids… “They’re just happy. They love mommy, they love daddy. We’ve always been people who are kind of on the go, coming and going, so their life hasn’t changed one bit. We spend holidays together, we do everything that we’re supposed to do together.” (Hollywood)
Approached by a paparazzo, Cannon recently explained why the media’s coverage of him and Ncredible client Amber Rose was going in the wrong direction.
“It was fun. We were having a good time,” Nick said referring to his recent outing with Amber. “[Our amusement park ride] wasn’t all to [ourselves], there were other people. You know what it was? The best part of every roller coaster is on the front or the back, so, all of those people were on the [ride] with us but nobody wanted to sit in the middle. So we were out there with about 20 people. [Just friends?] Yeah man, let’s talk about this. Would I be out there at amusement parks and all over the place with somebody I was trying to creep? Nah, that’s just my people. I’m her manager and she’s also like, we cool.” (TMZ)

Recent reports claimed model Amber and Cannon linked up for an event earlier this month.
Nick Cannon stepped out to support model Amber Rose at the XXIV Karat Sparkling Wine Launch party in LA on Thursday night, further fueling speculations that the two may be an item. “They were sitting very cozy in her booth. He wouldn’t take pictures with her. He said it was her night, but clearly he didn’t want to because he didn’t want people to speculate on their relationship.” (In Touch Weekly)
Recently, Rose dismissed Cannon hookup gossip and spoke on her pending divorce from rap star Wiz Khalifa.
