Country musician Jason Aldean is reportedly in hot water this week following a picture surfacing this week of him in blackface make-up.

According to his representative, Aldean dressed up as rap star Lil Wayne for Halloween last month.

The picture, which was first posted by the website NashvilleGab.com, showed him dressed up in sunglasses, long dreadlocks and gold jewelry. Tyne Parrish, his publicist, said in an email on Tuesday (Nov. 10) that Aldean “dressed as rapper Lil Wayne for Halloween,” but no other statement or explanation was provided. (Billboard)

The picture went viral Tuesday (November 10) afternoon.

Reports claim Aldean is one of country music’s biggest stars.

Aldean is one of country music’s most popular performers, regularly selling out stadiums. He was named by the Recording Industry Association of America as the top digital selling male country artist in 2014. His last album, “Old Boots, New Dirt,” was certified platinum. (Page Six)
