Cops Make Arrest In Lil Wayne’s Tour Bus Shooting Case

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne may be closer to finding out who is responsible for shooting up one of his tour buses earlier this year thanks to an unexpected arrest in case the case.

According to reports, a man with ties to Wayne’s rap rival Young Thug, is in police custody.

Jimmy Carlton Winfrey surrendered early Tuesday morning in Cobb County, Georgia. He faces charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal gang activity. A judge issued an arrest warrant for Winfrey, but it took a month before he turned himself in. According to his booking report, he had a gunshot scar on his wrist. (TMZ)

The official Young Money Twitter account revealed Wayne would move forward following the shooting with a Kentucky show in late April.

Earlier this year, Wayne’s daughter blasted Thugger on Twitter for naming his mixtape album after her dad’s popular Carter series.

According to reports, fans booed Young Thug during a concert this spring in support of Lil Wayne.

While on stage in at the Southern University in Baton Rouge, Thugger was met with boos and “Hollygrove” chants from the crowd. Pointing to a few hecklers, the rapper attempted to take it all in stride, replying “I still love you.” But the booing did not dissolve after his statement. (VIBE)

    • doing gay worked for Wayne. Kiss another man on the lips. Called him daddy. Made a song about dude “Stuntin like my daddy”….something I would expect a stripper to say. Wore tights/leggins during a show.
