Rap veteran Coolio has some serious words for the Rap God. The hip-hop artist has warned Eminem about getting at President Donald Trump with his raps.
Approached by a paparazzo over the weekend, Coolio weighed in on today’s rap game and why Em should watch out for Trump’s response from his diss records.
“People don’t want to talk about nothing these days. People just want to have fun, party and bullsh*t, so, that’s what it is. Nobody wants to hear anything that’s going to stimulate a thought and that’s how it is. We’ve been conditioned like that for a long time. Especially the youngsters, they don’t want to hear anything that’s controversial or really because they don’t have time for that. This generation, I think they’re ready for something. It’s just got to take a couple people to come out and do it. They follow each other. When one cat comes out and does something, they do what he does if he get a hit, it’s just that somebody gotta get a hit record that’s controversial and then everybody else will start doing it. … Trump is a little bit, he’s a weirdo. He might do anything. Ain’t no telling. He might have Eminem killed. You never know. Don’t be surprised if Eminem come up dead.” (TMZ)
On Em’s new Revival album, he takes direct aim at Trump on tracks such as “Like Home.”
Back in November, Def Jam’s 2 Chainz trolled President Trump about not going at Em following his hard-hitting 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher performance.
In October, a couple of now-famous bloggers clapped back at Eminem for dissing Trump with the epic freestyle.
Vloggers Diamond And Silk issued a scathing response to rapper Eminem after he demanded fans choose between him and President Trump in a prerecorded video played at the BET Awards. Diamond And Silk said in their response that “when you come for President Trump, we are going to come for you.” The pair say in their response video, “Trump’s your president, so get over it.” (Conservative Fighters)
