Miami production duo Cool & Dre’s Dre is apparently hyped over rap star Game’s upcoming The Documentary 2 and treated him to a little gift this week.
Game posted up a picture of Dre’s present to him and a personal note onto Instagram Monday (July 13).
According to the former G-Unit member, music mogul Dr. Dre recently called his album the best hip-hop project in the past few years.
Barring any setbacks, Game’s studio release will arrive later this summer.
“Next album is coming August,” Game revealed in an interview. “The Documentary 2, the follow-up from the first album. It’s going to be classic – shout-out to all the producers that helped me – Dr. Dre, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Alchemist, DJ Pooh, Scott Storch.” (Power 98 FM)
Game previously hinted at plans to release the album in June.
“I feel like I could have released it after The Documentary one but sometimes, you know how they say sometimes things happen for a reason, ten years later, it seems perfectly fine. It’s my sixth album, my sixth solo album, I think that the tenth anniversary is huge and why not put it out – the actual Documentary 2 is going to drop on my son’s birthday June 30th.” (Revolt TV)
