Atlanta rapper Young Thug is showing his love and appreciation for jailed hip-hop artist Gucci Mane by revealing pictures of himself donning a tribute ice cream face tattoo on social media.
Thugger displayed the support for his one-time mentor on Instagram this past weekend.

Some reports claim the ice cream tattoo, which Gucci made popular a few years ago, is temporary.
UPDATE, 05/31/15 9:51PM: A few on-the-ball readers from Atlanta have pointed out that photographer Cam Kirk had temporary ice cream cone tattoos at his pop-up photography exhibit/trap house that opened on May 30 in Atlanta, and that Young Thug was present. So perhaps his new tattoo has a limited lifespan? Only time (and Instagram) will tell. (The FADER)

In a recent open letter, Gucci promised to make changes to help better his career.
“My idea is to take my career to the next level. I am planning to take my music to a higher level and use the attention and influence to sell movies, books, clothing and be a living testimony to all people showing that you can start from humble beginnings and transcend to something greater. It feels great to see my plan take root and begin to blossom even though I’m physically incarcerated but spiritually and mentally I’m free as ever.
