R&B singer Ciara has come forward to speak out on her publicized split from fellow musician Future after welcoming a child together last year.
Although she refrained from going into what tore them apart, CiCi spoke highly on their son.
“It clearly didn’t work out,” CiCi admitted in an interview. “But I have the greatest gift, the greatest joy of my life which is my son. Honestly, I feel like everything in life happens for a reason and my son has been the greatest gift that God has given me in my life and the most game-changing thing that’s happened in my life in a necessary way. That pretty much is what happened. I can’t really break all that down, you know, because I don’t think it really matters to tell you the truth – we’re cool. We have a child together – I think as a parent, it’s important to communicate. We don’t talk everyday, there’s no need to, but my son is clearly the connection behind he and I.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
A few months ago, Ciara released her personal “I Bet” track.

Recent reports claimed Ciara had ink removed from her body with connections to Future.
Ciara is finally so done with her on/off BF and baby daddy Future … she’s removing all signs of his existence … including the tattoo on her hand. Recent photos show Ciara’s having the letter N (his first name is Nayvadius) lasered away. According to our sources … Future isn’t upset about it, and understands it’s part of moving on. (TMZ)
September reports claimed Ciara and ex-fiancé Future were trying to patch things up and make their relationship work.
Sources close to Future tell TMZ … he and Ciara are living together again — and trying to make things work between them — so Future can help take care of their 4-month-old son, Future Zahir. Ciara must be willing to overlook the past … since she was the one who claimed Future cheated on her while he was on tour — and then broke off their engagement last month. We’re told Ciara wasn’t interested in a shared parenting situation … saying she believes Future’s a good father and that it’s best for their son if his dad’s there. (TMZ)
