R&B singer Chris Brown has addressed media and fan speculation that he took to desperate measures by leaking nude photos of himself to promote his upcoming F.A.M.E. solo album.
Brown said he had no part in trying to intentionally put the photos out.
“Let me be honest with you. I didn’t want to put no pictures out; that’s not my intention. A lot of people were saying, ‘Yo, he leaked the pictures, he was trying to get promotion,'” the singer said. “For me, I was always a singer, so unless I’m planning on trying to do porn, I don’t think I’d want to just leak my wang out to the world before my album comes out…It was disappointing to me that it was out, because I was like, ‘Man, now it’s gonna [look like] a gimmick behind it,’ … And I don’t want a gimmick behind anything that I’m doing.” (RapFix)
The singer also said he felt confident at this point in his life.
“Nah, I’m just living life, I’m just gonna have fun,” Brown said. “At this point, there’s no more insecurities with me. Everything’s out on the table. You’ve seen everything! Also, as an artist I’m free with my music. I get to talk about the subjects I want to talk about and also reach people. So I’m just gonna live my life, man. There’s nothing to be upset about, nothing to be angry … where I’m at creatively and mentally is great so I’m not gonna let anybody or any naysayer or hater mess that up, ’cause there’s no point, I’m … winning!” (RapFix)
Last week, Brown finally opened up on the leaked pics.
On-air personality Big Boy had Chris Brown turning red during his visit to Power 106’s “Big Boy’s Neighborhood,” where he addressed his naked picturecontroversy. When confronted with questions about the origins of the leakedimage, the blond singer let his laughter do most of the talking. “I have nothing to say,” said a bashful Breezy, giggling while clarifying who the pic was for. “Definitely a girl, definitely a girl. It was an out-the-shower shot. […] I’m comfortable with my body, I don’t care about all of that.” He explained how he first found out that the revealing shot had hit the net. “I was just on my video game, playing a video game, and I was looking at Twitter and was like yeah!” he continued. Chris Brown leaked photos are nothing new. But in this case, the Chris Brown leaked photos are in a far different context. Once again, a celebrity has taken a nude picture of himself and wrongfully thought that it would stay private. In this case, an ex-girlfriend found the image and posted it on the Internet. It was posted as part of a video, hosted by World Star Uncut. The photos are recent since they show him with his new dyed blonde hair. He is posing naked in the bathroom, likely as part of a “sexting” session. However, one of his ex-girlfriends took the image and exposed him to the online world. (Associated Content)
