R&B singer Chris Brown made a probation court appearance yesterday in Los Angeles for his role in 2009's domestic violence dispute with ex-girlfriend Rihanna and was praised for his good behavior up to this point.

C. Breezy went before a judge today to give an update on how his probation has been going, and the consensus was all good. After looking over a progress report, the judge told Chris that he was doing a “great job” for following the terms of his probation so well, according to TMZ. The judge announced to the courtroom that he had attended all of his mandatory domestic violence counseling sessions and has been “working consistently” to finish his community labor. (Rap-Up)
Additional reports suggested Brown had been receiving positive praise in his domestic violence counseling sessions.
Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg did not raise any issues about Brown’s progress during the brief hearing. “You’re doing very well on probation,” Schnegg told Brown. “You’re doing a great job.” Brown, 21, did not speak during the hearing. The judge said Brown had consistently worked to satisfy his six-month community labor sentence, but she did not say how many hours he had completed. Schnegg also noted she had read positive reports from a domestic violence counseling program attended by Brown. (Associated Press)
He will reportedly return back to court for another status update in mid-fall.
The 21-year-old appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday with his lawyer, Mark Geragos, but did not speak. Next opportunity for another gold star? Breezy’s next status check is scheduled for Nov. 18. (Ministry of Gossip)
