According to reports, Chris Breezy’s legal team has filed a lawsuit stemming from an incident last summer.

Brown was sued by Malcolm Ausbon over a pick-up basketball game last July at an L.A. gym. Ausbon claims Brown attacked him over a foul call, and proclaimed he was a member of the Bloods. Brown has now countersued Ausbon, claiming he had nothing to do with the fight and Ausbon knew it, but tried to shake him down for a quarter-of-a-million dollars. (TMZ)

Reports claim Ausbon wanted at least $250,000 in exchange for avoiding a nasty criminal case.

According to Brown’s new countersuit — obtained by TMZ — Ausbon admitted to Brown’s people the singer was not the culprit, but later his lawyer made this written demand: — “Mr. Ausbon believes $250,000 will suffice compensating him for his physical and emotional injuries … Mr. Ausbon is placed in a position by the LAPD where he needs to decide whether he will press charges for aggravated assault and battery. However, Mr. Ausbon prefers not to resort to filing these claims or the lawsuit. He would rather be compensated.” Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, says in the countersuit Ausbon promised to keep the matter secret if Brown anted up. Brown didn’t pay and Ausbon filed his lawsuit. Details of Chris Breezy’s latest legal woe surfaced across the Internet last weekend.

Brown, 25, wore an orange jail jumpsuit and handcuffs, but he appeared to be smiling as he was led into court in Los Angeles by deputies Friday afternoon. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Brandlin immediately sentenced Brown to serve 365 days in jail for the admitted probation violation. He was given credit for serving 234 days because of the rehab and jail time, leaving 131 days left to serve. (CNN)

Despite the seriousness, Breezy’s attorney said he expected to see him released in a matter of days.

“I would expect that Chris should be out of jail before the weekend’s up or before Monday,” Mark Geragos said after the hearing. “If he isn’t out by Monday, then I would expect he’s getting special treatment. He’s got over 230 days credit on a 365 (day sentence) and generally the sheriff is releasing on a lot less than that.” Friday’s admission in Los Angeles that he violated his probation by committing a crime in Washington should lead to a quick resolution of the District of Columbia assault case, Geragos said.
