Details of the club’s closure surfaced online early Monday (April 21).

The Varick Street nightclubs were closed down by the police early Saturday for having too many customers and blasting music above the legal limit, the sources said. A day later, a sign outside the club claimed it was closed for renovations, with no indication of when the doors would reopen. Sources said Greenhouse and W.i.P. share the same liquor license, and they may be gone for good because it expires at the end of the month and owners have not applied for a new one. (NY Post)

Earlier this month, a publicized assault went down at the popular night spot.

The raid came eight days after a Greenhouse brawl that broke out between some college-football players and a club promoter ended with one of the players stabbed and the promoter’s face smashed. The violence erupted at around 3 a.m. April 11 in the VIP room, where a group that included players from the University of South Carolina objected to another group allegedly smoking pot, sources said. Rumored couple French Montana and Khloé Kardashian were spotted at Greenhouse over the weekend.

Khloé Kardashian and French Montana take New York. The duo, who was most recently spotted at LAX airport together on Wednesday night, re-surfaced in the Big Apple early Saturday morning. The E! star and the rapper, both clad in black, enjoyed some late-night pizza at Star Gourmet in Manhattan. They began their evening with Montana hosting a party at Allstar Night Club in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The pals, both 29, and their entourage then briefly hit up Greenhouse for an after party, before getting their slices. (E! Online)

The club had its liquor license suspended after the Drizzy and Breezy 2012 fight.

The New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) ordered the booze ban last night, citing “ten separate assault and altercations beginning on March 11 2012, and leading up to a large brawl at the club on June 14, 2012” — the night of the Drake vs. Chris Brown fight. The SLA says it has hit the club with 17 Alcoholic Beverage Control Law violations … including drug activity (twice) … lack of supervision … using the name “W.I.P.” without SLA authorization … and “becoming a drain on police resources.” According to the SLA, the ban is “effective immediately … no alcohol can be served or consumed on the premises.” Following the brawl, the club was shut down by the NYPD … now it seems highly unlikely the place will ever open its doors again.
