According to reports, Keef is nearly $10,000 in the red with his million dollar mansion monthly payments.

Chief Keef is swimming in cash but he’s not handing any of it over to his landlord … who claims the rap prodigy owes almost $10k in back rent. Georghe Simoniak-Sas filed a lawsuit against Keef — real name Keith Cozart — and Keef’s uncle. In docs, Georghe says Keef hasn’t coughed up rent for the months of July or August ($4,700 /month) on the Illinois mansion he’s renting … but continues to live there. Georghe says enough is enough … he’s suing for eviction and to collect $9,400 in back rent. As for the digs … 5,100 square feet, 6 bedrooms, 5.5 baths. Valued at over $1 million. (TMZ)

Last month, Keef’s decision to fall back on addressing a lawsuit earlier this year cost him big bucks.

The 17-year-old rapper was sued by a concert promotion company called Team Major back in March … which claimed Keef screwed ’em over by bailing on a London gig — set to go down Dec. 29th 2012. TM claimed Keef’s stunt cost them OVER $75,000, including his advance. Now the lesson part: according to docs, Chief NEVER bothered to respond to TM’s suit. After FOUR months of radio silence a judge ruled in favor of Team Major … simply by default. Then the judge stuck it to Keef … ordering him to cough up $230,019 for damages, loss of earnings, and reputational harm. (TMZ)

Coincidentally, Keef recently avoided time behind bars and settled a speeding arrest.

Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was ordered to pay $531 for his May 27 arrest in Northfield, where he was pulled over after driving twice the posted speed limit, according to the Cook County Circuit Court Clerk’s office. He paid the fine and has no other outstanding debts. He also faced a charge of driving with an unlawful number of passengers for a graduated driver, but that charge was dropped, according to the clerk’s office. A dashboard camera video of the arrest surfaced shortly after, and after an officer tells Cozart that he was driving 110 mph, he is heard responding, “That’s a fast car. That’s why I bought it.” (Chicago Sun-Times)

In May, Keef addressed his headline-generating buzz and gossip-driven publication TMZ’s coverage of it once the story went viral.

“”@TMZ: Chief Keef ARRESTED for Speeding — 110 MILES PER HOUR! http://tmz.me/1avSUWg “how da F*ck Dey Kno,” he tweeted May 29th with an unhappy face expression. (Chief Keef’s Twitter)
