Chicago rapper Chief Keef dodged death – literally. New reports claim the hip-hop artist had gunfire come his way Saturday (June 2) in New York City.

According to reports, the near-death situation went down early morning in Manhattan.

Law enforcement sources tell us … Keef was shot at around 6 AM outside the W Hotel in Times Square. We’re told a shell casing was discovered and police are looking for 2 black males wearing black hoodies who fled the scene. Our sources say the bullet missed the rapper and struck hotel signage. It’s unclear how many shots were fired at this time. Chief’s staying at the hotel and was returning after a night out when he was shot at. (TMZ)

Recently, Chief caught a break in a publicized 2017 home invasion case.

According to legal docs, prosecutors decided not to move forward with charges against Chief and other suspects who were allegedly present during the 2017 altercation, because there were significant issues with key witnesses. According to the paperwork, obtained by TMZ, Chief’s ex-producer, Ramsay Tha Great — who publicly accused Chief of the crime — has since been convicted on charges of pimping and human trafficking … he’s now serving 10 years in prison. Back in January 2017, Keef posted bail after getting busted in the case.
