Chicago rapper King Louie nearly fell victim to a bullet this week in Illinois.
According to reports, the shooting took place this afternoon.
Louis Johnson Jr., better known by his stage name King L or King Louie, was shot at and grazed in the head Wednesday afternoon in Ashburn, officials tell FOX 32. The shooting happened at 83rd and Pulaski around 3:30 P.M. King Louie is the rapper that coined the term, “Chiraq.” Police say the 28-year-old has been transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition. He is also sitting up and talking. The rapper’s manager has allegedly confirmed the shooting news.

Louie is most known for creating a huge buzz in the Chi-Town music scene.
Louie, who also goes by King L and was featured on the Yeezus cut “Send It Up,” helped coin the phrase “Chiraq,” in reference to gun violence that plagues his city’s streets. (SPIN)
