G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Chance The Rapper revamped Kanye West‘s The Life Of Pablo last night (April 24) in California. The hip-hop star blessed concertgoers to his own version of Yeezy’s “Waves” anthem.
New footage has gone viral of Chance putting his twist to Ye’s infectious banger.
Starting off his tour at the San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center, Chano electrified when he began singing his version of the “Waves” hook. “But it never really goes away/That’s just the wave,” he sings in the brief clip of the performance. (XXL Mag)

Earlier this month, Ye’s The Life Of Pablo reached a major milestone.
On Tuesday (April 4), Pablo achieved platinum status, according to a press release from the rapper’s label Def Jam. A rep for the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed the certification to Billboard. While the label says that the project is the first streaming-only album to go platinum, Billboard reported last April that TLOP was briefly available for sale on West’s official site upon its release in February. Last October, a plaque surfaced of Kanye’s album reaching platinum status from sales.
Back in April 2016, Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian revealed their daughter actually destroyed the album before its release.
“Kanye had every single rap in his iPhone before he really started working on [The Life of] Pablo and then North flushed it down the toilet and they could not be retrieved. We sent it to like four places.” (“Kocktails With Khloé”)
