Chamillionaire Plans To Release His “Venom” This Summer

Texas rapper Chamillionaire has finally announced the release date of his upcoming third solo project, Venom.

The new album will reportedly arrive in retail stores this summer.

Grammy-winning, platinum Houston artist, Chamillionaire, officially hit the road today, embarking on his “In Love With My Money” tour with former group member, Paul Wall – first stop, Austin, Texas for their headlining gig at SXSW. The timing couldn’t be more perfect as the release date for his long-awaited third album, Venom, was officially slated this week for June 22nd on Chamillitary/Universal Republic with a first single, artwork and tracklisting to be forthcoming shortly. With the album being in the making since 2008, Chamillionaire previously said he would not use his outdated material on the new project.

I’m not gonna drop the original material that was used for Venom…Originally when I was doing this, there was no label. It was just me crafting it in the studio, but now they seem to be pretty excited and there’s a lot of people coming in on this process now…There will be no Venom but the good news is there will be a third major release for me. He also previously spoke with SOHH about the importance of fans’ support.

“My thing is OK, I’ma give y’all what y’all want,” he said in an interview last year. “All y’all have to do is just support my records when they come out. Support my album because honestly this time around I gotta hit a home run. If I don’t, I’m very realistic with myself. I probably won’t be doing this.” (SOHH)

Last August, the rapper released his final underground project, The Mixtape Messiah 7.
