The entertainment industry is making sure we all know who Nathan Phillips is. Celebrities have come forward to applaud the Native American activist who stood up against a group of Make America Great Again teenagers in Washington, DC this week.

This disgusts me. I got a text from a friend, and she said that she used to get bullied by kids from Covington Catholic, as she walked home from her school. Then one of Covington Catholic’s basketball players raped a woman, I respect religion. But what the hell is going on in that district? That isn’t a true representation of Catholicism and they should be ashamed. I’m not Catholic, but I have family that is, and they wouldn’t even think of doing this. (Edit: check the link out in bio, it’s how it started, I have another video you can dm for about the start of Nathan Phillips walking and chanting the medicine song, that brings peace, and takes away toxicity) -Annie 🌻 #feminist #feminism #feminists #covington #covingtonkentucky #covingtoncatholic #feministaf #nativeamerican #indigenous #nativeamericans #nathanphillips #nathanphilips #feministpride #feministfightclub #feministpower #feministagenda #feministaccount #feministasfuck #intersectionalfeminist #intersectionalfeminism #intersectionality #feministandproud #nativeamericanhistory #fuckmaga #makeamericaindigenousagain

Nathan Phillips is an Omaha elder, Vietnam Veteran, former Director of the Native Youth Alliance, and was one of the leading Water Protectors at Standing Rock. It shouldn’t take a viral video of harassment for us to pay attention, but here we are. Now that we’re here, let’s show Nathan Phillips the respect he deserves. . We woke up this morning with this incident on our mind. Pulled out of sleep by the voices of our ancestors bothered by the conditions of this world. Here we see the face of pure malicious violence brewing like the virus it is. In sound medicine you sing to expel the disease, you sing to the ailed part of the body to mend it, you sing to provide alignment so healing can begin. The earth is counting on its healers. We must raise our voices continue to sing. Continue to sing no matter who affronts us. #nathanphillips #dismantlewhitesupremacy #indigenous #culturaleducation #dominicanslovehaitians #decolonize #decolonizeyourmind #decolonizeourmind #dismantlethesystemofoppression #ancestralhealing #elderwisdom #nooneisillegalonstolenland #dreamers #protectmigrants #nowall #singourownsong #uprising #undoracism #nativeamerican @cnn
