Despite his “F*ck You” hit getting nominated for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year, Cee admitted to not being able to distinguish between the nomination groups.

“And I’ll be honest, I don’t even know the difference between the two,” Cee-Lo explained in an interview. “But I was really surprised by the whole thing. I didn’t even know the song could be considered. The song was only out for a short while [before it got nominated] but I guess it performed well enough for it to be considered. I guess I was just surprised anyone noticed.” (VIBE)

Although Eminem leads this year’s Grammy Awards with ten nominations, Shady Records artist Royce Da 5’9 recently said Marshall Mathers does not expect to win.

“It’s funny, I just had the conversation with him about it,” Royce said in an interview referring to the upcoming Grammy Awards . “He doesn’t think he’s gonna win anything. He wouldn’t bet me, though. But I think he honestly thinks he’s not gonna win. Which I think is ridiculous — I think he’s gonna win. We’re rooting for him.” (MTV)

Young Money’s Drake recently discussed his award night aspirations.

“To get any type of Grammy accolade or anything, it’s cliche but it’s a dream come true in the literal sense, that thing you have between sleeping and waking up. That time spent I used to think about being on the stage and being able to thank the people that have done so much for me in my life. And I remember the first time I went to the Grammy Awards and I looked at the set up of it at The Kodak Theater and it was like man, this is very similar to the dream I’ve been having since the ‘Degrassi’ days. I’ve been having this dream, I never knew where it was and it never really specified what the award was, but I knew it was a night I could let the people know–the people in my life know–how much they have done with me. To have four opportunities to have that chance is incredible.” (Global Grind)

Last fall, Cee-Lo talked to SOHH and explained why fans should support his latest album, The Lady Killer.

“You should go out and buy this album because it’s a sign for better days in music to come. I’m almost certain this will be an inspiration to so many others, to the industry and artists alike. I think I will be able to establish an optimism, a bridge between those two, artistand executive. It’s taken that type of relationship between myself and my staff in order to commit to a project of this magnitude and risk this great. I think with this being successful, it will bring open mindedness to other projects so that’s one of the reasons I think people should go out and buy this album simply because it’s going to give way to other artists. It will really shape and move things into the right direction.” (Buy My Record)

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 and will broadcast live on CBS at 8PM ET/PT.
