New York rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine might be rich but he’s not in Birdman gang quite yet. A Cash Money representative has let some air out of rumors suggesting Tek has joined forces with the boss’ Rich Gang crew.

According to a Cash Money rep, there’s no truth to Tek’s $15 million breaking news.

Following the post, XXL reached out to Birdman’s team to confirm whether the deal was legit or not. According to a rep for the Cash Money Records founder, 6ix9ine did not sign a deal with Birdman. The “Gummo” rapper has been known to troll on social media and in January he claimed he signed a deal worth $7.5 million. “Right now I’m signing my life away to illuminati for 7.5 million dollars. Life is awesome,” he wrote in the caption of a photo of himself with lawyer Bob Celestin. (XXL Mag)

Yesterday, Tek opened up some eyes after announcing he joined forces with Birdman’s crew.

The huge announcement even sparked reactions from Baby and Rich Gang’s Young Thug.

According to reports, a judge recently told him he had to complete his GED or face doing a prison stint.

Rapper 6ix9ine, currently in the middle of sentencing proceedings after pleading guilty in a child sex case, may face prison for something far less disturbing than uploading a video of a 13-year-old child engaging in sex acts—failing his GED. As part of his plea deal in the fall of 2015, Jezebel reports the “Gummo” rapper agreed to complete his GED. On Tuesday, he admitted he hadn’t yet done so in the past two-plus years, despite potentially facing between one and three years behind bars if he fails to meet the terms of his plea agreement.
