Megan Thee Stallion has run into more issues with her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. Megan claims 1501 is draining all its money while not paying her, according to TMZ.
The “Body” rapper filed a new motion on April 13, saying 1501’s primary account is running low and claims it contains less than $10,000. Megan also claimed label head Carl Crawford obtains most of the funds while she doesn’t get paid. Megan has criticized Crawford, even calling him a “coward.”
In Megan’s motion, she also adds that the only people getting paid are Crawford, Mob Ties CEO J. Prince, and label executive Gee Robertson.
Megan’s issues with 1501 involved filing and winning a restraining order against the label in November of 2022. Recently, Crawford apologized to Megan after she received justice for her trial. Still, she has plans to sue 1501 for royalties.
Carl Crawford Publicly Apologizes To Megan Thee Stallion & Names New 1501 Entertainment President
Carl Crawford publicly apologized to Megan Thee Stallion. The ex-MLB star and CEO of 1501 Certified Entertainment, said he didn’t intend to have a back-and-forth on the internet with Megan.
Carl Crawford, CEO of 1501 Certified Entertainment, known as Megan Thee Stallion’s former label, publicly apologized to the Houston rapper on Feb. 27. In addition, Crawford also introduced Kai “Verse” Tyler as the new president of the label.
Carl Wants To Make Amends With Meg?
Crawford said in an interview with TMZ:
“It’s unfortunate because I never wanted to have a situation where I was, you know, going back and forth with her on the internet.”
Referencing the back-and-forth between the two, Crawford took to his Instagram live to accuse Megan of causing “division” between J. Prince, CEO and co-founder of the Houston-based record label Rap-A-Lot and himself.
“I’m done with that,” Crawford said of the feud. He also noted that he and the Houston Hottie have not exchanged words since 2019 but would like to “mend” things. Meg signed a management deal with Roc Nation in 2019.
Megan Thee Stallion and 1501 Certified Entertainment have a history of issues. Megan has even accused the label of harassing Roc Nation CEO, Desiree Perez.
Megan sued 1501 in 2020, claiming the label treated her unfairly. A Texas judge then granted her a temporary restraining order against the label.
“It’s a whole lie. Nothing is true, she said. Me being greedy and taking money from her, that’s crazy. I never tried to take nothing from her. The only thing we ever did was give, give, give.”
Crawford said that since the “Sweetest Pie” rapper signed with Roc Nation, she was no longer in touch with him.
Though keeping a low profile since the assault trial against Tory Lanez, Megan was spotted celebrating her birthday in-mid February.
