New York rapper Cardi B knows she has a game-changer with “Bodak Yellow” but that’s not slowing her down. The hip-hop rookie has revealed she has even more audio heat on deck.
Cardi went to Twitter last night (August 18) and teased fans about having another anthem around the corner.
This week, pop singer Demi Lovato won Cardi’s attention with her rendition of “Bodak Yellow.”
Last weekend, B showed off the digital impact her new “Bodak Yellow” banger is having on all music genres.
Earlier this month, a report surfaced about the massive success Cardi’s received courtesy of her “Bodak Yellow” hit.
The ascent makes “Bodak” the highest-charting hit by an unaccompanied female rapper (no other artists on the billing) since Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” burst to No. 2 in 2014. The tune leaps 13-6 on Streaming Songs (24.5 million U.S. streams in the week ending Aug. 3, according to Nielsen Music, up 56 percent), rises 35-20 on Digital Song Sales (22,000 sold according to Nielsen Music, up 39 percent) and nears Radio Songs (22 million in audience, up 54 percent).
