New York rapper Cardi B is letting her numbers speak volumes. The hip-hop star has jumped on social media to remind fans and critics alike she’s still sort of a big deal.

Cardi lit up Instagram Monday (June 25) and acknowledged her No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

A few hours ago, Cardi went to IG and addressed her daily struggles as a female rap artist.

“Hey y’all, what’s popping? I’m sorry I couldn’t attend the BET Awards this year but you know I’m really, really close to my deadline. I want to say thank-you to all of my fans for voting for the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice award. I love you Bardi Gang, Gang, Gang, Gang and for the Best Hip-Hop Female Artist award. Thank-you so much. You know, female rappers really get it the hardest when it comes to the music industry. We’re always being blamed for our raunchy lyrics and our raunchy outfits and sh*t. You know, practically doing the same sh*t the n*ggas do but we get blamed the most for it. We’re constantly getting threatened by people like, ‘Oh, you’re not going to make it next year, you’re not going to make it next year.’ So we always gotta keep up and keep up and keep up. They’re always putting female rappers against each other and you know I’m just really grateful for winning the award because female artists be going through some f*cking sh*t. Love you everybody and god bless you. Owwww.”
