New York rapper Cardi B is getting political-political. The hip-hop diva took a moment away from music-making to put some major respect on politician Ilhan Omar.

Cardi went to Instagram last night to give Omar a major salute as President Donald Trump continues to take aim at her at rallies.

Yesterday, Trump made headlines after a crowd of North Carolina supporters shouted “send her back” aimed at Omar.

A fired-up crowd shouted its approval of President Donald Trump’s attacks on Somali-born Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and three of her colleagues Wednesday by chanting “Send her back!” Trump, emboldened by the House’s sound rejection of an effort to impeach him over racist commentary about the lawmakers just hours earlier, triggered the chant at his re-election rally in Greenville, North Carolina, by resuming his rhetorical assault on Omar, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass. (NBC News)

Instead of going ghost, Omar stood proud and spoke up for herself on Twitter.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has also come forward to support Omar and single out Trump.
