According to reports, Cardi made her plea Tuesday days after sparking headlines over her indictment.

The Grammy-winning rapper and two co-defendants were arraigned Tuesday on charges of assault, harassment, conspiracy and second-degree reckless endangerment in a 12-count indictment, according to the office of Acting Queens District Attorney John M. Ryan.”The defendants in this case are accused of two premeditated attacks on two women working at a club in Queens last summer,” Ryan said in a statement. “The victims allegedly had glass bottles hurled at them, alcoholic drinks thrown in their faces and one woman’s head was slammed into the bar. This kind of violence won’t be tolerated in our community. The defendants will be held accountable for their alleged actions.” (CNN)

Cardi went to Instagram last week with a since-deleted post aimed at gossip publication TMZ about her unfair legal coverage.

According to reports, a grand jury indicted Cardi on nearly 20 charges related to an August 2018 incident.

The grand jury has indicted Cardi on 14 charges, including 2 counts of felony attempted assault with intent to cause serious physical injury. Other charges include misdemeanor reckless endangerment, assault, criminal solicitation, conspiracy and harassment.  She was initially charged with 2 misdemeanors … assault and reckless endangerment, but that’s all superseded by the grand jury indictment. (TMZ)

The legal crunch dates back to when Cardi found herself in handcuffs last fall.

TMZ broke the story …Cardi was arrested in October for allegedly ordering an attack on 2 strip club bartenders — Jade and Baddie G. The 2 women claim they were injured during the brawl when Cardi’s people began throwing bottles and chairs. The incident, which went down in August, was allegedly triggered after Cardi accused Jade of sleeping with Offset. (TMZ)
