New York rapper Cardi B is defending hers. The hip-hop superstar has come forward to speak out on the aftermath of viral footage showing her quickly turning off her explicit "WAP" smash anthem as daughter Kulture Kiari runs up.

The Bronx native went to her Twitter page and didn’t hold back. She specifically took aim at parents trying to check her about how she handles those publicized mommy duties.
“Ya needs to stop with this already ! I’m not jojosiwa ! I don’t make music for kids I make music for adults.Parents are responsible on what their children listen too or see.I I’m a very sexual person but not around my child just like every other parent should be.”

After noticing her mini-me walk in the room, Cardi grabbed her phone and shut off the Megan Thee Stallion-featured hit track. Her hilarious reaction sparked lots of laughs from fans, some of which supported her decision while others didn’t understand it.

Cardi has been famous for a while but she has reached global levels in recent years. The hitmaker went online last week to remember a time when she was on the come up but not yet a megastar. Cardi shared a side-to-side image of her current Instagram profile showing she has 80 million followers next to an old screenshot from when 2020’s Billboard Woman of the Year “only” had 283,000 followers. Cardi was almost at a loss for words.

But as rap legend Notorious B.I.G. put it, more money (and fame) brings more problems. Cardi has been involved in a few high-stakes lawsuits recently, one of which she settled with a former manager.
“According to my lawyers alittle but more then that but it can’t be touch till my litigation is over.Its just can’t be touch till we solve the despute.But when that fat a** check hit my account all at once it’s gonna be lit .Thats why I never trip cause it’s there,” Cardi responded to this fan tweet: “Whoa that’s crazy see. I don’t know about how artist get paid but correct me if I’m wrong. I think Cardi B made at least $32M worth of hits in 2 years cause like EVERYTHING went Gold & Platinum and she never got paid once?!”
