New York rapper Cardi B isn’t biting her tongue. The hip-hop star has come forward to explain the motivation behind releasing her new “Money” single 48 hours early.

Cardi went to her Instagram Story Tuesday (October 23) and blamed rap rival Nicki Minaj fans for playing a part in the song’s forceful debut.

“So as you can see, my song ‘Money’ got leaked. So it’s like, f*ck it, if it’s leaked, might as well put it out. I think it got leaked because sometimes you send your records early to these streaming or these music platforms, somebody from they building leak it and everything. We tried to retract it, but you know the Barbz, they always posting me, they always post everything I do. They claim they hate me but they really love me because they be on my page before my fans. Everything that I do, they be on it before my fans. So, clearly, that seems like love to me.”

A few hours ago, Cardi shocked fans by dropping her must-hear song.

Yesterday, the Bronx native announced the new single would drop Thursday.

Last week, Cardi addressed rumors about having a Nicki Minaj battle record on deck.

“Dear TMZ …ya constantly got me in ya blog spreading fake s–t about me without doing ya research and even when we tell ya is not true ya still push it,” Cardi wrote on Instagram in a post she later deleted. “Ya motherf–kers need to get off my dick and start reporting about them actresses ya used to report about cause I’m not the one to f–k with THANK YOU!! Btw in REAL news my single ‘Money’ drops November 26!!” (E! Online)
