New York rapper Cardi B is making some head-scratching comments this weekend. The hip-hop diva has weighed-in on the drama fiancé Offset sparked over the week with his usage of the word “queer” on a new song.
Cardi took to social media to come to his defense and also suggest there’s a lack of educating people about socially offensive terms.
“He never acts uncomfortable. He just don’t care and then when I asked him like, when I started seeing all this fuel, I was even talking to him like, ‘Yo, what the f*ck is going on? Why would you use that word?’ He literally told me, ‘I didn’t even know that was a word for gays.’ He just really told me, ‘I didn’t.’ And it has a different vocabulary on the dictionary. Now if that’s a word that you guys said that it was a bad word for gays, I never even heard that word in the first place, why don’t y’all educate people about it. A lot of people are not aware of what’s wrong or right.”
A few days ago, Off issued a public apology and explained his usage of the term “queers” on his YFN Lucci “Boss Life” song.
Prior to his explanation, social media took direct aim at him for appearing to bash the gay community.

Why do rappers continue to bash the LGBTQ community? Y’all know what you’re asking for when you write those lyrics in the studio. You don’t sound cool or masculine—you sound a like bitch. If you’re “straight” why would you be worried about a man taking another man to his bedroom? pic.twitter.com/SFORduMJxa

How can Offset say “ I do not vibe with queers” when ….
– collabed with Frank Ocean (a publically bisexual man)
-wears and brags about all these brands made by gay men e.g. Alexander Wang, Tom Ford, Gucci, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen
AND YOU CHEATED ON CARDI B BYEE— aq (@firelord_andrew) January 18, 2018
GIVE OFFSET HEAT FOR HIS “I do not vibe with queers” line. There is no room for words of oppression in a music born from oppression.

Cardi was talking about "trannys" and now Offset is saying "I do not vibe with queers". If you wanna ignore homophobia and transphobia just because it comes from a POC then full offence cause you are trash and I will not stand for it https://t.co/ngqCj1mPSU

Earlier this week, Offset and rapper YFN Lucci put out their song’s music video.
Boy this generation is sensitive LOL
Everybody can’t belong to every group. If it don’t fit the culture it don’t fit the culture. My black ass can’t be a Mormon because they don’t like blacks. I can’t be mad at that. That’s their culture. Homosexuals have to accept a similar case with hip-hop where that lifestyle does not fit the culture
Hip hop culture isn’t about who you take to bed. It’s many things but that. I think what you mean is bigot culture.
