Music mogul Diddy has officially joined forces with Epic Records by taking his Bad Boy Entertainment to executive L.A. Reid‘s iconic label.

According to reports, Puff Daddy will now release at least two albums through Epic.

Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs’ 22-year-old music house Bad Boy Entertainment has teamed with Epic Records, the Sony Music company announced today (Oct. 5). The exclusive partnership includes distribution of two forthcoming Puff Daddy albums and provides a home for Bad Boy artists covering customary label services including promotion, marketing, sales and distribution. Puffy released a statement on the huge power move Monday (October 5).

“I have known L.A. Reid since the very beginning and together we have enjoyed countless successes over our long friendship. To now work with L.A. in this capacity feels more like a homecoming than a new beginning. Not only is he a fearless and smart businessman, he believes in artists and understands music better than anyone. He embodies hard work and true success, evident in all of his endeavors. To collaborate with L.A. Reid is to collaborate with the very best.” (Statement)

A few weeks ago, Diddy updated fans on the status of his next solo album.

“Right now I’m just making music. I haven’t really decided if I’m putting out an album or a title. There’s a lot of things motivating it. One thing is your best body of work, which is No Way Out, and really channeling that. Like I said, I’m taking the backseat approach to being a producer and a platform, just as it was for The Lox, Ma$e and [Lil’] Kim and so on. That’s really what it is.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

A Bad Boy artist hinted at Diddy’s next solo album last summer.

“I’m working on Puff Daddy’s last album,” Bad Boy artist Gizzle revealed in an interview. “It’s called No Way Out 2. It’s a crazy project. I’m very honored to be a part of it. Nobody can make an album like Puff Daddy. I’ll be actually rapping on there too.” (Rap-Up)
