Dipset leader Cam’ron is going to set the fashion world ablaze as new reports claim he has a line of capes set to hit the marketplace in the near future.
According to reports, Killa Cam announced his new line during New York Fashion Week.
Over the past couple of days Cam’ron has been seen rocking different capes while out in the city. Once while celebrating his birthday, the second time when he took the stage at the 2 Chainz show. The man who had every gangsta wearing pink looks like he’s set to set a new trend. He took to Instagram late last night to give fans a sneak peek of his plans. Now, it’s confirmed that Killa Cam is collaborating with Mark McNairy and will be unveiling his cape line on Tuesday for New York Fashion Week. (XXL Mag)
Recently, Cam had his now-iconic pink mink coat posted onto digital bidding retailer Fancy.com.
This exclusive, one-of-a-kind pink mink coat is a part of hip-hop history. Originally owned and worn by Harlem’s finest, rapper Cam’Ron. The mink has appeared all over magazines, TV, and the Internet and can now be all yours. You won’t find anything like this anywhere. Besides keeping you extremely warm, the Pink mink is a perfect addition to any fur aficionado’s collection. Please allow 3-4 weeks for shipping. (Fancy)
In December, Cam and longtime business partner Damon “Dame” Dash were featured in a Fancy.com promotional video.
Rap moguls and startups collide once again in this new commercial for Fancy, a Pinterest competitor. The ad, a low budget affair that shows Damon Dash introducing Fancy to Cam’ron as a way to sell $450 jerseys, debuted yesterday on WorldStarHipHop–an atypical launching pad for tech marketing–and has already been viewed almost 4 million times. Like Pinterest, Fancy is a photo-sharing website and app, except that Fancy is more focused on selling the items in the pictures. The New York-based company, which used to be called The Fancy, is best known for its celebrity connections–like Ashton Kutcher, Nas, and Kanye West–as well the company’s willingness to try different ways of making money. Rap star Kanye West reportedly popped up at the New York-based company’s offices a few weeks ago.
Before his first Yeezus show in Brooklyn at Barclays Center, Kanye West apparently popped intothe offices of Fancy to have a quick (45-minute) talk with the staff. We’ve been told that Yeezy discussed his design company DONDA and his goals for the future. He told them that he wants to disrupt the fashion industry and that someday he wants DONDA to be a trillion-dollar company. We’ve heard Kanye say these things before in interviews and on stage, but those who were there say he was just as passionate about it away from the cameras and lights. (Complex)
