North Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has come forward to bid farewell to rival Super Bowl Bowl 50 competitor Peyton Manning following his publicized retirement speech this week.
Cam hopped onto his Instagram page to speak on Manning’s iconic and game-changing career Monday (March 7).
A few weeks ago, sports fanatic Lil Wayne addressed Newton prematurely ending a post-Super Bowl 50 game conference with the media.
“Once I saw that, I said, ‘If I was a player on his team or involved with his team in any kind of way, I love that dude. That’s the way he feels when we lose? He’s that upset when we lose? He’s that hurt, not upset, that hurt when we lose? Oh my God, I love him – I’m playing for him. Not with him, for him.” (“SportsCenter”)

Young Money’s Nicki Minaj and her hip-hop boyfriend Meek Mill both recently spoke out in defense of Cam on Instagram.
Last month, Cam addressed walking out on reporters after losing Super Bowl 50.
“I’ve been on record to say I’m a sore loser,” Newton said Tuesday as players cleaned out their lockers. “Who likes to lose? You show me a good loser and I’m going to show you a loser. It’s not a popularity contest. I’m here to win football games.” (ESPN)
