Grammy-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco sees greener pastures in his life. The hip-hop veteran has seemingly announced his retirement and shelved all new album plans.
Lupe went to Twitter this week and broke the shocking news to followers.
Some media outlets speculate controversial lyrics may have contributed to the sudden announcement.
Lupe’s sudden declaration of retirement comes a day after he released a new song, “N.E.R.D.,” a freestyle over J. Cole’s “Everybody Dies.” The song was controversial due to one lyric that many perceived to be anti-Semitic: “Artist gettin’ robbed for their publishing / By dirty Jewish execs that think his alms from the covenant.” (HNHH)
In January, Lupe provided fans with an update on his The Cool 2 solo album.
Then he comes out saying no bro…cool2 is not an album but rather a way of life and im releasing it the people got it…
