Houston rappers Bun B and Slim Thug are putting respect on late hip-hop artist Pimp C. The duo hit up social media to salute the fallen H-Town legend.

Both Bun and Slim hit up Instagram with thoughts on the 11-year anniversary of Pimp’s death.

Earlier this year, rap star Rick Ross shared a rare pic of himself and Pimp C.

Last year, self-proclaimed King of the South T.I. hit up his Instagram page to remember C.

Pimp C passed away December 4, 2007 while booked to perform in Los Angeles.

An overdose of cough syrup and a preexisting sleep apnea condition killed Chad Butler, better known as rapper Pimp C, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner. His death has been ruled an accident. Butler was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel on Dec. 4. He was 33. He’d been in L.A. for a concert with rapper Too $hort. Though early reports suggested the cough syrup was over-the-counter, assistant chief coroner Ed Winter said the Promethazine/Codeine found in his system was from a prescription-based product.
