The Houston rapper jumped onto his Twitter page to reveal his surprised reaction this week.

“D*mn Papoose!,” Bun tweeted August 16.

“Yeah he went in! RT @manatk: @BunBTrillOG yo Bun B, whats ur thoughts on that Papoose track #control best response so far?” (Bun B’s Twitter)

Yesterday, Pap explained the motivation for releasing his “Control” remix diss track.

“Nobody is going to disrespect New York City like that, man, and kick dirt on New York City and say you the ‘King of New York’ when you not even from New York,” Pap said in an interview. “It doesn’t get no more disrespectful that that. Then, you’re a Muslim who eats pork. Are you kidding me? You don’t say that, you don’t say you’re a Muslim who eats pork. What’s that? … Nobody is going to disrespect New York while I’m breathing — that means when you disrespect New York, everything goes. It is what it is. This is hip-hop, don’t get it twisted, I’m going to go on the record and say that.” (Hot 97)

On the record, the Brooklyn rapper goes in on the West Coast emcee with handfuls of bars.

“Tell Kendrick and TDE they need to lay off the PCP/ Far from the king, this is the city of BDP/ You’ll never be a real west coast artist like Eazy E/ You f*cking joke, we laughing at you like hehehe/ Ya’ll probably stick dildos in each other like Stevie G/ I mean Stevie J on that sex tape with E-V-E/Lil’ Sean, Big Sean, let me see ID/Why you always say B.I.G.?/You ain’t Bigge, you could D.I.E/Every time I hear you, you getting cornier like E-Y-E.” (“Control” Remix)

Bun B previously spoke to SOHH about rap battles being based on talent and not violence.

“This is rap. We’ve had beef in rap since the beginning of rap. There are very few of the early artists in the music industry that didn’t have some kind of an issue with another artist at some point. As long as nobody gets physically hurt, I don’t see why anybody really should have a problem with it. I think everybody will come out of it alright.” (SOHH)
