Brent Faiyaz will be dropping his Sophomore album Wasteland this Friday.

The release of the album will be several months after the releases of singles “Wasting Time,” “Mercedes,” and “Gravity” which have all been able to reach the Billboard charts.

Faiyaz will feature artists such as Tre’ Amani, Drake, Joony, and Alicia Keys to contribute to the album.

Furthermore, this is Faiyaz’s first project since introducing himself to the world with his debut album Sonder Son in 2017.

Faiyaz has also dropped a video for his song “Price Of Fame,” which starts with a fan being excited to see the singer in London.

SOHH…Who Is Brent Faiyaz?

SOHH, if you don’t already know, Brent is an indie R&B artist originally from Baltimore, Maryland.

Hailed as “D’Angelo mixed with The Weeknd,” Brent moved to LA in 2016 to get his career popping.

The “Wasting Time” artist has consistently made a name for himself in the industry, starting his career with the musical group Sonder where Brent is the lead vocalist. They’ve produced songs such as, “Too Fast,” “Lovely,” and “Searching.”

However, Brent’s claim to fame was his famous chorus on the song “Crew” by Goldlink in 2017. Brent was nominated for a Grammy for the song back in 2018.

Since then, he’s come out with numerous hits, all while remaining independent. Brent Faiyaz has collaborated with some of the biggest names in hip-hop, most recently with his song “Wasting Time” featuring Drake, which Pharrell Williams produced.
