In the video, that began circulating widely on YouTube and Tiktok, Brent is identified rocking his signature ‘fro as he is being pulled off the opposing party.  According to TMZ, cops were called shortly after.

On the YouTube video posted by TMZ, many comments expressed their concern and shock over the incident while others questioned – “Who is Brent Faiyaz?” One person commented,

“OMG NO NOT Brent Faiyaz..PLEASE TELL ME HE’S OK!!!..WHAT IS GOING ON!!!..who the fuck is Brent Faiyaz?”

SOHH, if you don’t know, Brent is an indie R&B artist originally from Baltimore, Maryland.  Hailed as “D’Angelo mixed with The Weeknd,” Brent moved to L.A in 2016 to get his career popping.

The “Wasting Time” artist has been consistently making a name for himself in the industry, starting off his career with the musical group Sonder where Brent is the lead vocalist. They’ve produced songs such as, “Too Fast,” “Lovely” and “Searching.”

However, Brent’s claim to fame was his famous chorus on the song “Crew” by Goldlink in 2017. Brent was nominated for a Grammy for the song back in 2018.

Since then, he’s come out with numerous hits, all while remaining independent. Brent Faiyaz has collaborated with some of the biggest names in hip-hop most recently with his song “Wasting Time” featuring Drake that was produced by Pharrell Williams.

Brent Faiyaz was also one of the many artists featured on the recent Baby Keem album “Melodic Blue”. Keem added Brent’s feature to “Lost Souls” later on after the album started charting.
