Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill has caught a huge break in his publicized probation violation case after receiving a house arrest sentence Friday (February 5).

According to reports, Meek must remain on house arrest for the next 90 days.

After much deliberation, Meek Mill is not headed back to jail for violating his probation. Today, a Philadelphia judge sentenced Meek, whose legal name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, to house arrest for a minimum of 90 days, starting March 1. He’ll wear an ankle monitor and will be prevented from working (which includes releasing new music), though he can do charity work during that time. He will also be on probation for the next six years. The news was reported by WHYY’s Bobby Allyn and TMZ. (Pitchfork)

Maybach Music Group boss Rick Ross showed his support for Meek in light of his legal controversy back in December.

Recent reports claimed Meek had lost thousands of dollars due to his inability to perform at booked shows.

Our Meek sources say the rapper had a bunch of gigs on the books before a Pennsylvania judge prohibited him from leaving the state. Not only is he losing big money by not performing at concerts, he’s shelling out tens of thousands of dollars every month for commitments he’s made in L.A. He and Nicki are leasing a house that is now off limits to him. Ditto an L.A. recording studio he’s already booked for $15k a week. (TMZ)
