The Lakers are expected to keep building a star-powered team to surround James.
LeBron James will not return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Instead, The King is taking his talents out to the West Coast to join the Los Angeles Lakers this summer. James signed a four-year, $154 million max contract, according to a release from Klutch Sports Group. He joins a Lakers team that is expected to continue making moves this summer to add to a roster that now features the best basketball player on the planet. (SB Nation)
Prior to making the power move, King James had only played for the Cavs and Miami Heat – both teams he won at least one NBA championship with.
Los Angeles also provides James with a larger platform for his business interests and social activism. This is the third time in eight years James has changed teams. He returned to the Cavs in 2014 after four seasons in Miami. (Washington Post)
