Hollywood icon Bill Cosby learned his fate in a publicized and month-long sexual assault trial. The veteran actor has been found guilty.
According to reports, Cosby couldn’t convince a jury to get him off three serious charges.
Bill Cosby was found guilty on all three charges in a sexual-assault trial by a jury on Thursday. Cosby was accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his Pennsylvania home in 2004. The first trial ended with a jury deadlock in 2017; the second trial began this month. Bill could ultimately find himself behind bars for 10 years.
Cosby was convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in a Philadelphia suburb in 2004. The 80-year-old former comedian faces up to 10 years in prison on each count, but would likely serve them concurrently.
The jury deliberated for more than 14 hours over two days to reach the verdict. (CNN)
Some reports claim Cosby is currently free on a $1 million bail.
Multiple people in the courtroom claim Cosby lashed out after prosecutors asked he be taken into custody immediately because he owns a private plane and could flee. Cosby shouted, “He doesn’t have a private plane, you a**hole!” Cosby was released on a $1 million bail. (TMZ)
