New York rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine needs some prayers and legal help right now. New reports claim the hip-hop newcomer is in custody after getting arrested last night on federal charges.
According to 6ix9ine’s pal and hip-hop personality DJ Akademiks, 6ix9ine is currently in federal custody on RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) charges.

Federal agents reportedly nabbed two of 6ix9ine’s affiliates in the Sunday night bust.
According to reports, 6ix9ine was charged under RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) and taken into custody along with two affiliates of 6ix9ine, Shotty and Crippy. RICO refers to people who participate in organized crime along with the penalties if convicted. Federal offenses are prosecuted by government agencies such as the FBI and often carry penalties far more serious than those levied by the state courts. (Independent Loud)
Over the past few months, 6ix9ine has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement.
The rapper has severe criminal charges against his name. Earlier this year, he pled guilty to three felony counts of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance. He was 18 years old when the crime took place in 2015. In October, he was sentenced to four years of probation. In July, he was arrested by the New York police on an outstanding warrant for allegedly choking a 16-year-old at the Galleria Mall, New York, in January. (International Business Times)
