In a recent episode of Boosie Gone Bad, Boosie Badazz forced his just-legal son to scrutinize the genitalia of adult women on a live social media stream.  Has the Louisiana rapper broken the law and engaged in child abuse with his public antics and admissions of the sexual escapades he arranged when his sons and nephews were underage?  And is his “training” a form of hypermasculinization to disguise Boosie’s fears that his sons may be drawn to a homosexual lifestyle?

Boosie Badazz Forces Son To Watch Pornographic Images

Boosie Badazz’s latest antics on his live social media broadcast have fans concerned that he may have gone too far and is endangering the well-being of his 18-year-old son.   On a recent episode of “Boosie Gone Bad,” where he broadcasted his antics on Instagram Live, the brash rapper is seen with his son by his side, examining the genitals of half-naked women with a magnifying glass.  In the NSFW footage that was spread across Twitter, the rapper is shown goading the 18-year-old, Torrance Hatch Jr.,  to “Look at the p*ssy, son!”

In the pornographic live show, female participants stripped and exposed their genitals as Boosie and his son studied the anatomy up close. A woman was shown lying on her back, her legs spread wide open. “Look at the pussy, son,” Boosie told his teenage son. “Look at that pearl. Her fucking turtlehead is sticking out.”

A woman could be heard in the background saying, “You teaching them young, you teaching them right.”

The footage was met with heavy backlash and intense criticism on social media with many viewers questioning Boosie’s parenting capabilities.

“Why are y’all laughing and egging Boosie on? His actions are absolutely NOT funny — never have been and never will be,” a user commented on Twitter. “They’re deplorable, degrading, and disgusting. And I really want him off these social platforms and examined for his parenting. ”

One user criticized the objectification of the women in the video.

“You niggas in the comments laughing talking about he 18. Y’all not even hiding the fact y’all objectify women y’all just moved on to using age as justification like him being 18 makes it appropriate.”

“I’d be more concerned for undue influence on children in the presence of Lil Boosie than the gay agenda,” said another user. This is in reference to the rapper’s outspoken homophobic and transphobic comments about the LGBTQ+ community.

One user called out the fact that the women were complicit in Boosie’s actions, stating “Here’s a reminder that women indeed are predators too.”

Boosie Badazz’ Homophobic History

Though hip-hop fans on social media were mostly shocked by Boosie’s recent antics, the rapper has a history of homophobia and the over-sexualization of the male children in his family.  And there are more serious accusations of child abuse considering that in Louisiana where Boosie lives with his family, it is illegal to solicit sex workers, and for anyone over the age of 17 to engage in sex, including oral sex, with anyone under that age.

In February 2020, Boosie went on a transphobic rant against former basketball player Dwayne Wade for supporting his 12-year-old, who was born male, for coming out as a transgender girl. Boosie says that a 12-year-old is too young to decide their sex.

“That is a male. A 12-year-old. At 12, they don’t even know what they next meal gonna be. They don’t have sh– figured out yet. He might meet a woman, anything, at 16 and fall in love with her. But his d–k gonna be gone,” he began. Boosie then went on to misconstrue gender with sexuality.  “Don’t cut his d–k off, bruh. Like, bruh, for real, if he gonna be gay, let him be gay. But don’t cut his d–k off, bruh. Don’t dress him as a woman, dawg. He’s 12 years old. He’s not up there yet. He hasn’t made his final decisions yet. Don’t cut his f—ing d–k off, Dwyane Wade.”

For this, Boosie was again hit with heavy criticism but he remained firm on his stance. In an interview with Baller Alert’s Sesh w/ Shirley, Boosie was told he stirred controversy over his “statements about Dwyane Wade’s daughter.”

“His son,” the rapper interrupted. “That’s just how I felt. People gotta understand that’s how I feel. Everybody got their own opinions in life. Everyone feels a certain type of way about certain things … When the kids involved, it’s tender to my heart.”

When asked if he thinks it’s appropriate to tell someone how to raise their children, he replied,  “Not really. But when I feel you’re wrong, you’re wrong. People have told me how to parent my children when I was wrong.”

In May 2020, he received even more criticism for claiming he solicited a female prostitute to perform oral sex on his underage son and nephews.

“I’m training these boys right, I’m training these boys right,” he said during an Instagram Live session. “Ask any of my nephews, ask any of them, ask my son. Yeah, when they was 12, 13 they got head. Yeah, that’s how it’s supposed to be. Hell yeah I got my fuckin’ son dick sucked. You fuckin’ right. Yes, a grown woman, grown, super grown … checked his ass out. Checked all my nephews out, super grown. Is she grown? She check me out. I know what the fuck she did to them, she checked me out, that bitch. I’m getting them prepared, man.”

Boosie also claimed he showed his son how to put on a condom when he was only 9 or 10 years old: “Yes, that’s how I raised them. I don’t care what y’all say,” he continued. “It’s better than watching cartoons. That’s why they have iPhone 11s. They can watch as much porn as they want. It’s better than them watching cartoons with two men kissing … Yeah, it’s like that. Yeah, we raise them different … That’s just how it is.”

The comments triggered another wave of backlash on social media, with many accusing the rapper of child sexual abuse.

Boosie Badazz made similar comments in a social post back in 2017, when he said he was getting his 14-year-old son oral sex for his birthday. He then addressed the controversy in an interview with TMZ, attempting to claim he was just “clowning on Instagram.

“I ain’t gonna get him no head … but If he wants to get head from a girl, you know he’s 14 years old. I’m cool with it,” he said. “Fucking is popular at 14, 15 years old. You know that’s when they be in heat, but I’m not just gonna bring a girl to give him head.”

Sexual Abuse and Forced Heterosexuality

With each one of his controversies regarding his children and exposing them to sexual activity, many people have accused the rapper of facilitating molestation and/or sexual abuse.

“boosie is a grown ass man who just openly admitted to putting his underage son through sexual abuse by letting “grown women” perform oral sex on him. what the fuck is going on bruh?” wrote a Twitter user.

“Boosie enabling a grown ass woman perform oral sex on his 13 yr old son is rape and supposedly he’s going to become a man after that ? That’s disturbing to me,” wrote a third Twitter user

Another user called out the complicit nature of one of the women who performed oral on one of Boosie’s sons and also called out the double standards of the situation saying, “Boosie and the woman who gave the 12 and 13-year-old oral should be in trouble with the law. Let it have been an older man doing that to a young girl he’d be under the jail, as he should. So they both should be in hella trouble!”

“Boosie admitting to facilitating the molestation of preteens, by an adult woman, should be enough for his account to be deleted and banned at the very minimum,” said another.

A user wrote a thread calling out the harmful nature of Boosie’s actions. They wrote, “Y’all can’t tell me this homophobic ass man is not sick. Talking about training his sons to be sexually abused. This is rape culture. Hell yeah I got my son dick sucked.”

The user discussed and dissected Boosie’s actions, the homophobia, sexual abuse, training his kids to be straight, and the black community’s refusal to take the sexual abuse happening to young boys seriously.

With all of these continuous statements and calls out of Boosie engaging in the act of sexual abuse, the question is: is it?

What Is Child Sexual Abuse?

The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy defines child sexual abuse, as:

  1. Any sexual contact that occurs betwen an adult and child, being defined as:
    • touching, with intention of sexually arousing the child and/or providing sexual arousal for the offending party
    • the fondling of genitals or other parts of the body in a sexual or prolonged manner
    • overt sexual contact, examples being oral-genital contact, or manual stimulation of genitals or intercourse.
  2. Behavior where the intent is to stimulate the child sexually or inciting sexual stimulating the abuser through the usage of the child, including the act of showing the child erotic materials, etc.
  3. Sexual contact by a person who is in an older developmental stage than the child.

In reviewing all of Boosie’s actions including exposing his sons and nephews to women who would perform oral sex, showing them how to put on condoms as young as 9 or 10 years old, giving them iPhones, and allowing them to be exposed to erotic material such as pornography at such a young age, it would be safe to say that, yes, Boosie has engaged in the acts of the facilitation of sexual abuse on the minor children in his care.

Implications Of Boosie’s Actions

It would be remiss to acknowledge why he is doing this. To quote Boosie, he is, “I’m training these boys right, I’m training these boys right.” Training, as in, trying to force the ideals of heterosexuality as well as inducing hypermasculinity.

Boosie’s actions could also be considered a form of conversion therapy – a dangerous practice that typically targets LGBTQ youth and seeks to change their sexual or gender identities with the idea of training children to straight, the ‘socially acceptable orientation.’  The effects of conversion therapy can result in significant psychological harm to minors.

Considering these acts of facilitating sexual abuse, attempting to “train” his children to be straight, bragging about his acts on social media and allowing the children in his care to be identified and discussed in a public forum (with a portion of his audience supporting this behavior), the real question is: what effect will this have on the children in the long term?
