Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda‘s pal Rowdy Rebel has spoken out from behind bars following a publicized arrest from earlier this month.
A new 15-second clip from the GS9 member has surfaced.
After the “Hot N*gga” rapper’s lawyer confirmed that he and his team spent the holidays behind bars, the first bit of correspondence from inside hits the Web. In a phone call, Rowdy Rebel sends shoutouts and makes a promise to his girl to hold her down upon his release. Rebel faces a slew of charges, including two counts of attempted murder, two counts of reckless endangerment and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon. (VIBE)

Despite buzz of Epic Records posting $2 million bail for Shmurda, attorney Howard Greenberg said his client had remained jailed during the Christmas holiday.
“There is no news. We’re just trying to put something else together now,” Greenberg said about Epic possibly posting the $2 million bail. “My guy’s rich, he’s busy. He’s always on tour. He’s supposedly leader of this crew, but he’s not charged with any violence. Use your head, it doesn’t make any sense. I’m not going to let them crucify Bobby Shmurd.” (The FADER)
A flurry of entertainers relied on social media to support Bobby amid his publicized arrest.
